CEO :: Bryan Kidd

Thoughtful Leadership CEO and founder Bryan R Kidd is based in Melbourne Australia, where he lives with his wife Elizabeth and 3 children: Annabelle, Edward, and Harrison.

Bryan is passionate about helping people develop realistic and effective leadership. Since 1997 Bryan has been working with individuals, groups, teams, businesses and organizations to help them evaluate and develop their leadership. In this time Bryan has recieved some insight into the nature of contemporary leadership, leading to the development of Thoughtful Leadership.

Bryan has worked in private practice and in universities while developing his ideas. The following are highlights of his professional career.

Notable Achievements:

  • Analysed executive and senior leadership and organisational culture at Austin and Repatriation Hospital, a major teaching hospital in Melbourne, Australia
  • With Diane Barbeler established 'The Coach House Leadership Centre Pty Ltd', a boutique consultancy specialising in leadership and transition
  • Facilitated programs for corporate clients such as TXU Networks, Hawker de Havilland, Victorian Automotive Chamber of Commerce, Swinburne University of Technology
  • Project managed work process review and database application development
  • Principal Researcher, "Identity, Difference and Performance. International Students in Experiential Learning Programs".
  • Business Trainer, Westpac Banking Corporation
  • Presentations to several conferences, including RMIT University Research on Research conference, Australian International Education Conference, Australian Drug Foundation Goodsports Conference
  • Designed and delivered MBA and undergraduate business subjects in Organisational Behaviour and Management to corporate clients and students
  • Designed and implemented leading edge experiential methodologies
  • Initial development of the 'Good Sports' accreditation model

  • Australian Drug Foundation Award for Outstanding leadership in sporting settings
  • Several academic awards, including Australian Human Resource Institute Prize in Recognition of Academic Excellence
  • First Prize, Bintulu Challenge (Strategic solutions competition sponsored by Shell Australia)
